Pineapple planting party

Since pineapples are on sale this week at Publix and we have bought quite a few of them I decided I wanted to try planting the tops.  I had had heard about being able to do this but was unsure about the process.

Being the visual learner I am I came across this you tube video and it was very helpful.

So the pygmies and I are going to try our hand at this quick and easy DIY type project.  It seems simple enough.  Famous last words.

I have some other lofty DIY projects planned.

I’ve already done this one and it turned out nicely.  I love anything I don’t actually have to sew.

Roman shades from mini blinds.  Although I will say don’t try to do too big a window since the plastic will eventually weaken, mine turned out great.  Thanks Money saving mom for this DIY.

Some other fun things we plan to do over the next few weeks are homemade popcorn in the microwave. Daring I know, but I am really excited to try this one. ;) Thank you Jessica.

Reusing bottle caps.  I think this will be great for the extra seeds I haven’t used yet in the garden.  Again thank you MSM and Re-Nest.

Oooooohhh, how to make cheap foaming hand soap!  I really like this one as the pygmies think the foaming hand soap is for making fake beards or smearing all over the counter top and drawing in.  I owe you my first born Live Renewed.

After all that hard work maybe a little treat for me as in homemade marshmallows.  Yum-o, thank you for the video Denver Bargans.  It saves me so much trial and error.

Maybe someday I will venture further with my sewing machine.  For now though I think I will keep my aggravation level down.
